Paul Bailey Obituary

Paul E Bailey was born August 31, 1937, in Shelby County TX to parents LaClair and Evelyn Bailey. He passed from this life on January 17, 2024. Paul graduated from Timpson High School in 1955 and attended Panola Junior College. He married Frances Collins on February 10, 1961. Paul was a long-time rancher and owner of Bailey’s Feed & Fertilizer. He was a member of Timpson Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Bailey had previously served on the Timpson ISD School Board.

He is survived by his wife, Frances; his children, son David (Deborah) Bailey of Highland Village, TX and daughter Vickie (Chris) Fontaine of Whitehouse, TX. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Kristen (Nick) Netsch, Kathryn Bailey, Garrett (Jordon) Bailey, Matthew Fontaine, and Madison (Austin) Lusk; great grandchildren Annie & Hudson Netsch. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Ann Flowers, and brother Ray Bailey.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 20, at 10:30 AM (Taylor Funeral Home, Timpson) followed by a graveside service at Blair Cemetery with Pastor Levi Cohorst.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his memory may be made to Garrison Nursing Home & Rehabilitation located at 333 FM 95 Garrison, TX 75946. The family would like to especially thank the staff at Garrison NH & R for their loving care and Heart to Heart Hospice for providing care in his final days.
